Calara Tobi is an 18th-century riad in Essaouira's medina. The commission was to turn the property into a functioning digital presence for a real hospitality business: a site capable of presenting the riad and supporting its marketing and booking journey. Unlike university work, there was no speculative future user and no final presentation after which the project stopped mattering. It had to be delivered, handed over and continue functioning once I was no longer actively designing it.
The job was partly visual, translating the character of a historic physical space into a digital experience, but the site also had to make practical information easy to find and give prospective guests a clear route towards booking. I designed, built and shipped the website, and it remains live for the business.
It is deliberately one of the simpler projects in this portfolio. Its value is different from the thesis or behavioural-science work: it is evidence of delivery and my most recent freelance work.
